Texas Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes

03.21.2009 by James // 1 Comment

These are some of the images from an afternoon at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park. The Bluebonnets are very beautiful and plentiful after the rains this past week.

We also spotted many full fields all along FM 1155 from Chappell Hill to Washington, TX. Would some wildflower resources be helpful?

I am a native Texan and love all of the beautiful wildflowers we enjoy. But Bluebonnetts and Indian Paintbrushes are by far my favorite. When working with the Boy Scouts, the kids and adults all loved my stories of Indian Lore about how the flowers came into being. Thank you sharing these beautiful photographs.
